About Family Therapy
Today’s families come in all different shapes and sizes traditional families, single parent families, blended families, same-sex parent families, to name a few. When functioning at it’s best, family can provide a safe and loving environment that encourages each family member to grow and develop.
However, during times of transition (such as a birth, children moving out, retiring) or when life unexpectedly throws family members a curveball (e.g. illness or the unexpected death of a loved one) balancing the needs of each member may become a bit more challenging.
Family members may feel misunderstood leading to conflict and arguing. Rather than spending time supporting and enjoying one another, family members may finds themselves feeling isolated and disconnected from each other.

As a family therapist, I believe that no one knows your family like you do. I work with you and your family to understand your history, your beliefs and values, and find out ways each of you would like to see the family improve.
Together, we assess what is and is no longer working, and begin to come up with better more effective solutions. Through therapy, I can help your family learn to communicate better, and resolve conflicts in a more effective way. Together, let’s enhance your families relationships, and restore peace in your home.
